Drive write protected

Besides computer being very slow and no connecting to internet via cabl
modem anymore. I ran Nortons and it can up with 36 infected files al
of which Nortons can not delete says delete failer. All are adwar
files. In triing to access each file/folder to delete I get and erro
says can not delete disk full/write protected??? Help any ideas?

Max,

This is more the likely due to the fact that the Dll's /
exe which the spyware are made up of are actually being
run / used within you system, hence the access denied
when trying to delete them.

Your best approach is to download, Adaware or SpyBot, run
it and it will find all the problems, they then have a
feature that if the adware is running, spybot and adaware
can run before windows starts (and the spyware files) and
remove them.
