Drive Mapping XP Pro

I am attempting to map a stand alone computer to a second
drive letter.

net use f: \\compname\c$

The command cannot find the network (local computer)

This command works fine on Windows 2000 and NT4...

Any recomendations?

Is the firewall turned on on the XP computer?

The firewall is not active.
Also the Hostname command yields the correct computer name.
