drive letters

My hard drives are showing different letters than normal,
my second hard drive show as F: My DVD cd writer is D:
and my DVD reader is E:. My second hard drive should be
D: amd my DVD writer should be E: and reader should be F:

My question is how to acces the registry file and correct
this and what problems will be involved later on. Also I
want to change from XP Home to XP Pro but I want to put
this hard drive with XP Home in another computer and do a
clean install with new drive for XP Pro. Is that allowed?
What kind of problems will I encounter?

Go to run,type:diskmgmt.msc
In the new window L.click a drive,actions,all,select,
change drive paths and letters,change the letter.
The later wont work,once xp is registered to a computer
the license cant be switched,1 license,1 computer.Youre
better off leaving home as is,or buy a new hd for home,
put current hd as need be,only xp home wont switch.
