I bought a new hard disc and reinstalled XP professional but I left the old
disc (as a slave) in order to pass all the information from the old disc to
the new one. Windows assigned a letter F: to the new hard disc as the old one
was c:, after I have installed and passed all information to the new disc I
removed the old one and at this moment I have on my PC drives with letter A:,
D:, E:, and F: (D and E are CD-ROM and DVD).
How can I change the drive letter from F: to C: ???
Thanks for any help.

Right click My Computer and click Manage. Click Disk Management. Right
click the F: drive and select Change Drive Letter and Path.

I have follow yous instructions but I receive a message that it is not
possible to change the drive letter of the volume system.
Is there any other way?
Thanks for your help

The only way you are going to change the OS drive letter is by formatting
the drive again.

Unfortunately there is no way to change the drive letter assignment on
the System drive. The only thing you can do is a clean installation.
