Drive Letter Change

Using XP Home, I changed one of my drive letters. But when I opened windows explorer the icons under the folder column on the left side were gone, while the icons for individual folders did appear under the name column on the right side. Not liking that, I changed the drive letter back to the original letter and everything is now back to normal - the icons appear again under the folder column. Is it normal for the icons in windows explorer to disappear after you change the drive letter?

It depends on what drive letter you changed, and where XP is installed. It can happen.

if you change it back, and it goes away keep it back
