"Drive is dirty" message on bootup

Has anyone seen the message on bootup "the drive is
dirty"? the system then proceeds with a scan

Click on Kelly's link below, then on "C". Look for...

"Check Disk - Disk Checking Runs Upon Boot"
 
I also have the message when I bootup. And when it is
done booting up, it issues to drive letters to my
secondary hard drive. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
