Drive Imaging

New to XP here -

Does anybody have any experience using DRIVE IMAGE vs. NORTON GHOST?
We're on Satalite here for the internet - WIN98 se, became too problematic
and unreliabel so we switched to XP (Home) for our small network. The main
computer (server) is the only truly **critical** machine. It MUST work.
Subsequently, we're looking to "disk image" this machine. Any input would be
appreciated.

Also, I'm lead to believe that it's one copy of XP per machine, correct? We
don't object to purchasing additional software, but I believe I read (this
past week on one of the many Microsoft sites) that one could use it on the
laptop as well. Threads indicate this may be incorrect. (Lord - please
don't ask me to find the site). Must admit, the OS, is far more stable.
Whew!

Thanks so much for your time and attention to this matter.

Personally i prefer drive image over norton ghost. The
latest version of drive image even allows imaging
driectly from within windows rather than from dos.
As to your windows xp 'copies' question it is 'one' copy
per computer. You can, however, obtain further licences
but the minimum is 5. You really need to get in touch
with microsoft regarding further licence purchases. Go to
www.microsoft.com and search the site for licencing.
I think the last answer also answers your question
regarding your laptop. If you want xp on your desktop and
your laptop then you will need to buy another copy of xp.

Hope this helps
