Drive Image7 problems

Has anybody had any problems installing and running Drive
Image7 after the initial install reboot??? I get the V2i
protector service hung on startup. message in the event
viewer. Thereafter windows will not shut down or allow
viewing of drives with my computer or add remove programs
among other things. the only way to get a functioning pc
after installing is to go into regedit and ren
pqv2isvc.exe entries and then do a hard power down... so
then the next startup does not have pqv2isvc.exe running,
and everthing is ok?????

There is a free update to Drive Image 7 available (7.01) which you should be
able to download from the PowerQuest(Symantec) site. Maybe that will address
your problem.

I have both DI 2002 and DI V7 installed. I sitll feel more comfortable using
2002, although V7 is faster is actually creating the backup image file than
2002.
