drive contents to open in same window???

hi,
my win xp SP3 has this peculier issue. All folders when double clicked
opens in the same window but Drive contents opens up in new window. is this
due to virus infections??

to sort out, i checked this: in my computer-tools-folder
option-general(TAB)
i selected "open each folder in the same window" option.

this is what many suggested also in forums. but this does not seem to work
out. have been trying to sort out for past few days but no success...

what can be done. though this is not critical issue, i would like get my
point cleared up. i think many fellows have the same Qn..

any help out...

Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 /i shell32

Hi Kelly,
saw your suggestion but it seems that this solutions is not
working. i have tried this in many machines that has the same issue. mostly
all are win xp sp2 and sp3 installed. any concrete solution please.
