Dreamscene sound problem

I am hoping someone can offer a suggestion how to get the sound to work in
Dreamscene preview. I have enabled the dreamscene sound in the volume control
but still no sound. The sound is working in all other applications including
system sounds. Any ideas anyone?

Looks like I have found a fix of sorts. If I disable the dreamscene and
reboot the system then reenable the dreamscene then the sound works. If I
just reboot the system with the dreamscene enabled the sound doesn't work
when the system restarts. Turning dreamscene off then back on doesn't work
either. Looks like another gremlin for SP1 to fix (hopefully)

Hi!

Here is the situation I have.

The sound does not work for all the videos coming with Dreasmscene in the
Windows DreamScene Content directory.

The sound work for all the many others videos I have, for example the 3
videos in the Sample Videos directory and all the ones coming from :

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/musicandvideo/hdvideo/contentshowcase.aspx

Does anyone get sound with the videos coming in the DreamScene Content
directory ?

Thanks!

None of my Dream Scene content has sound. AFAIK Microsoft haven't issued any
Dream Scene videos with sound - well unless the Dream Scene update that came
down yesterday has anything any different. I haven't looked at it yet, so I
don't even know what the Dream Scene update has downloaded.

So I gather. To be honest I can't even find what the update has 'updated';
it certainly hasn't give me any more backgrounds

There are 2 updates, one for the Dreamscene software which requires a reboot
and another for the content. You'll have to go back to WU.

Thanks Peter. Strangely two updates did come down, one was dream scene
(which required a reboot) and the other was Windows defender definition
update. The 59.7MB Dreamscene pack came down this morning.
