Drag & Drop on DVD+RW

Can anyone tell me if drag and drop, i.e. copying, onto a dvd rw works with
windows xp? Or does it only work with cd rws?

I just recently upgraded from a cdrw to a dvdrw and everything works except
the drag and drop. It just tells me to insert a rewritable cd.

Awaiting a reply really soon as this is driving me crazy!!

Windows XP does not natively support DVD writing other than a couple of
DVD-RAM drives.
Beyond that - third party only.

And packet-writing is not supported natively for any media.

Easy CD Creator or Nero use packet writing software which allows them to
feature drag and drop. I can't speak for Nero, but I drag and drop to
DVD-RW disks all the time with Easy CD Creator.
