drag and drop of messages to the desktop not working

Drag and drop of some messages, not all of them, to the desktop are not
working. The problem messages have several attachments, but aren't overly
large, about 3MB each, and even trying to copy them one at a time isn't
working. Other messages work just fine using drag/drop, but not these
messages. Is there an attachment limit when using drag/drop? That's the
only thing I can think of that might be causing this, since other, larger
messages work fine too.
Help!?

There is no limit that I'm aware of. do you get an error or does it just not

No error, but just doesn't work.

It shouldn't make a difference... but disable your antivirus and see if it
works - then remember to enable it as soon as you test it. I'm wondering if
the AV software blocks it because of the attachment.

Also - if you are dragging to the Desktop itself, try putting them in a
folder in my documents.

The attachments don't seem to matter. They are all JPG files, and other
messages with JPG files work fine. It just seems to be the number of
attached JPG files that seems to be the difference. These problem messages
have about 20 or so.
