DPI setting on monitor distorting my page

I have built some pages in FrontPage 2003 using layout tables. The top cell
of the table contains a text box with text in it. The cell below that
contains a .gif image. I have arrows going from specific parts of the text
down to specific parts of the image. The pages look fine at any resolution,
but I found that those who have their monitors set to 120 DPI (large) instead
of 96 DPI (normal) have a distorted page. The text box size is increased in
both dimentions and overlaps the image. The arrows are moved downward on the
page and no longer point to the right aspects of the image. The image,
however appears normal and is in the right location on the screen. Any ideas
on controlling the textbox and arrows?

You have not control over this and also the use of WordArt and Drawing Tools will only be seen by
user of IE browsers.

The only problem with that discussion, is they believe it is limited to
Publisher, and that Frontpage, apparently the superior product, would not
have it. However, the trouble is INDEED found with pages made with Frontpage.

I have this exact same problem on my page,

when the user's DPI is set to 120 (anything besides 96, actually).

So... is anyone going to do anything about it? And I need a workaround,
please.

There's not anything that can be done about it, it's a publisher issue

And I need a workaround, please.

Don't use Publisher to make web pages.
And don't use Word Art or the drawing tools in FrontPage.

Don't use word art or the drawing tools in FrontPage.
Word art will not display correctly in all browsers, nor will it reposition properly at
different resolution settings.
Word art uses Vector Markup language. It is only recognized by Internet Explorer

Additionally, if you created the page in Publisher and are now trying to edit it in
FrontPage, it will "not" work.
It is "impossible" to change a Publisher created page to one you can edit / manage /
publish successfully in FrontPage.

Also, view the source for the page at the link you posted.
It's an incomplete page.
No closing </body> or </html> tag.

And also, did you "compress" the html in that page??
html compression is "iffy" at best.

Do not use the WordArt and any other drawing tools in FrontPage. These are
VML graphics, which are only visible in Internet Explorer. Other browsers
will see nothing at all, or down-level poor quality .gifs instead.

As for positioning - the problem is caused by using absolute positioning
(inherent with VML) in a table. Change the font size by any means and the
layout goes awry. All images and text will have to be positioned in the
same way to preserve the layout. There is no easy workaround - this is
HTML.

So telling me not to use Publisher to do my page is sort of like telling me
not to use oil to
heat my home when I'm hooked up to natural gas. Pointless.

Further, having recently used Yahoo! Sitebuilder, I must say they have a
great solution where
I could publish text as a graphic. I thought WordArt would accomplish the
same effect but
now I'm finding out that that's not true. I guess I should have stuck with
Sitebuilder after all.

But still, since Microsoft seems to be taking up this issue from Publisher's
point of view,
I want them to know that Frontpage causes the same pain.

That is becasue they see the word art in the code for the page

Yes, if you create word art in a page using FrontPage.
Unfortunately FrontPage has the capibility to create word art.
We have asked, many times, to have it removed.

The workaround is to take a screen shot of the page with word art and then use the image
in your page.
