downloads

help!Downloads start to install,thenjust pause.I've tried turning off virus
protection,firewalls,pop up blockers etc.Also when i try to shut down, the
debuglog box appears and i have to click the 'end program box' to
proceed.Then just as my pc starts to shut down the downloads i'm trying to
install appear to start to load. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

According to a technician at my ISP , Xtra , Microsoft has a rather
thorough security system going at updates , and who could be surprised at
that !
I tried getting the Windows security updates last night here in New
Zealand and the very same thing that happened to you happened to me .
I did however download and install all 16 of the updates I wanted .
I repeated the downloading process for each and the updates and over and
over again went to the beginning of the process whenever the process would
stop , and eventually success !

Gidday ,
I experienced the same thing yesterday after I reinstalled Windows XP Home
Edition and went to Windows Update to downlod the secrity updates .
I persistedwith the downloads , I went to each download again and again
and eventually downloaded and installed all the downloads I needed .
