downloading Sp2

To whom it may concern,
I recently downloaded SP2 for my pc and after that I
couldn't view any web page, I tried to troubleshoot by
looking in the help section. After uninstalling SP2 I was
able to get on the Net again. I really would like to
download the SP2 for my pc's security but am afraid that
the same problem will occur. What should I do.

You could get a free cd with SP2 from Microsoft at
www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/sp2. You could install it a lot faster than
download and maybe this would fix your problem.

I have the same problem. I get a forbiden 403 error on
most web pages now, and all downloads of known safe files
from web pages that can be accessed. I am not able to
reset security levels in Internet Explorer, and I am the
System Administrator.

I will perhaps do as you have done and remove this bug
filled service pack. I am not a happy windows user. This
is an Emergency Services System, and lives may be at stake
as a result. It also contain numerous military code lines,
allowing for remote monitoring of PC users.
