Downloading problem

Okay, everytime I put in a disc to download something, let's say, Microsoft
Office, It freezes. I take out the disc and put it back in, then it freezes
completely. I restart my computer and I try again. Yet again, it freezes.


Could someone please help me with my problem or post some suggestions?

How old is the machine, did you install Vista or was it already on there
and has it always been like this or did something change recently, and
is this all disks or just some disks? For example do you know if the
same happens with a music CD.

I just got my Vista recently, it's been 2 months since I got it, and Vista
was already downloaded onto my computer. But, it has done this with other
CD's as well, but I'm not sure if it'll do the same thing with a music CD.
