Am trying to download a free template from Hallmark, but the screen is just
blank when it shows "done". Is there somewhere else on my computer to look
for it?

If you click on the PC Download link after selecting a free template,
and have MS Word, Word should open and display the template for editing.
To save the template as it opened in Word, or after editing, click Save
As, change the document type to "Document Template (*.dot)".

If Word doesn't open, you need to reinstall Word so it'll make the
required associations. For better all-around help with Word documents,
try an MS Word newsgroup.

Looking a little further into a search for "free templates", they seem
to be layouts for the cards you purchase. You apparently do as the
instructions on the page say: "Before printing practice on the test
sheets provided with your stationery purchase.". The templates lay out
the text locations so they'll fit on the purchased paper, but don't
include the graphics within the template.

One of the other tips: "Note the location on your computer where you
have saved the template." If you aren't given the option to choose a
location, right-click the template, notice the item number.. PGX1245T,
e.g., is saved as pgx1245t.dot and you should be able to locate it with
a search for "1245" or a similar search. Then you'll know what folder
the templates are downloaded to.
