Downloading a lot of updates for a friend

A friend has had to do a clean install of XP
and is now faced with 45 critical updates to do.
One of them is SP1.

Could he do that with a modem connection?
He's using Freeserve, which has a two-hour cut-off.

How could I download them for him?
And what order would they have to be applied in?

For SP1, you can download the "network" install version and copy it to a CD

Then, he could install all the "chital updates" during one two hour session
and later do the rest!

Hi Chris, Recently I had a problem and needed a copy of SP1, I contacted the
MS Office here in Belgium and they arranged for an English version
(apparently SP1 is language sensitive) of SP1 (on a CD-ROM) to be shipped
from Ireland. It took two weeks to arrive. You can contact the UK MS
Office on (UK) 0800 510510.
Alternatively you can download Windows SP1 to your desktop from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...A1A9-0C56CD979D05&freetext=SP1&DisplayLang=en
I hope you can write to a CD because my SP1 Disk contains 280MB.
