Came across a website that offers download of XP Pro ISO image for $50 US.
(www.Best-lovesoft.biz) Supposed to be a full retail version download of the
program.

Is this legit?

Regards,

Alifea

Personally, I never trust sites claiming to sell cheap software - I would
rather pony up the additional cash, have a known legit version and access to
MS tech support.

Sure...they get your money and you get a bogus copy of XP.
Remember, if it's too good to be true, it too good to be true!
Also, that site offers no way to contact them at all! Stay away
or be sorry!

Thanks to all. I suspected it was in fact too good to be true, but as it was
linked from Pricewatch.com, it almost looked like the real thing.

Again, thank you for the input.

As always, legitimate copies of Windows are *never* available for download.
You'd be better off posting your credit card number on a freeway billboard.

This is being dealt with.

Hi Ron,

The original poster will see my reply to them - but the post in question has
been removed for certain reasons.

Sorry if this looks a little odd in the newsgroup.

Thanks for the reply Mike. I would be amazed to see something 'odd' in the
newsgroup. <eg>
