Vista is "Beta" and has no customer preview at this stage of development.
Maybe it was just somebody curious about the software and believed he
could obtain a copy. Microsoft has said that as the software progresses
through the normal cycles (Beta 2, Release Candidates) they will make it
more widely available. Currently, only Technical Beta testers and those
who have a TechNet or MSDN (Microsoft Developers Network) account
have access to the OS.

I agree that people come here looking for answers and most people reply with
a informative answer or where to obtain more information so they can better
help themselves when they have a problem.

Hmm! Seems that there are other places to download it to me.
This is what R.McCarty wrote in his informative answer unlike you who

He presumed to answer a question that wasn't asked. I literally
answered the question that actually was asked, if you believe that not
being presumptuous makes me a "jerk," I can live with it, and just
consider this one of the sometimes you are wrong.
