Download To Temporary Internet File?

I just spent 1.2 hours downloading a demo of the PC game "Crysis". I
selected the "run" option and not the "save" option. After 100% download, I
actually saw it listed in the temporary internet file window. When I clicked
on it to extract, it was denied and said I had to reset the "Permission"
parameters. Couldn't figure out how to do that. Anyway, I accidentally closed
the window that had the Crysis zipped file (1.7 GB) and now I can't find it.
I've searched everywhere by every means! Is it still on my computer? I hate
to give up 1.7 GB for nothing. Also, why was the "Permission" notice
active. What needed changing? How do you change it?

First of all, you should always save a file for installing programs as
you arent supposed to be installing them with your browser open and u
might need the file on another occasion, so saving is what u should do.

check your temp folders

search for the file name and if u forgot it, just search all of C: for *.zip

lesson learned, right??

Always choose to Save your downloads unless Vista objects to installing them
once they're downloaded. Select a Download folder where you always save
downloads, then you'll always know where to find them. You could do an
Advanced Search, Location: C drive, include hidden and system files. Search
for .zip or the name of the file you downloaded.

Even though you set yourself as an administrator, there will be files or
folders you will not have access to, sometimes even files you have just
downloaded. One way to "elevate your privileges" to be able to modify files
or folders is to go to Start->type in the Start Search box Windows Explorer,
right click on the link and select Run As Administrator. Then anything you
do in Windows Explorer will be with elevated administrator privileges.

Sometimes you need to have your Username (the name you log in with) take
Ownership of the file or folder and grant yourself Full Control permissions
to be able to access and modify files or folders. For instructions on how to
do this, see this tutorial.

Have a look for it in Windows Explorer, not in Documents, but in the
Downloads folder.
To change a lot of things with Windows you use right-click on the file,
select properties, and look from there.
