Access Denied to Temporay Internet file folder-Avast cannot scan

I cannot access the Temporary Internet files folder (Access is Denied). Yes,
I am an administrator! There is no option to change permissions for this
folder. Avast cannot scan this folder presumably because of permissions. How
can I fix this?

Hello,

You may be trying to scan the compatibility junction in that name which
is not a folder and does not contain files, instead of the correct
location, which has changed in Vista.

The new location is:

\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files

Yes, I tried that but now I find my right mouse button no longer works since
the last Microsoft update so I can't delete anything in Windows Explorer!

In Windows Explorer, highlight the file you want to delete and push the
DELETE key!

It is said that if you line up all the cars in the world end-to-end,
someone would be stupid enough to try to pass them.
