After downloading SP1 and SP2 and restaring the computer, I get a message
saying z"windows/inf/biosinfo.inf file missing". The message goes on to say
that repair can be attempted by starting Windows setup using original setup
CD-ROM

But I cannot get the computer to boot up from original XP CD-ROM that came
from manufacturer (Dell) either.

HELP.

Hope you installed them 1 at a time, either way, before you restart after either
you should go to run, type:cmd In cmd type:CHKDSK C: /F Agree to restart,
then type:EXIT This lets xp sort out all the files that were installed
before
it tries to boot up.You can/could still try the utility,at start up,tap the
F8 key,
select safe mode,enter as administrator.

Thanks.

Problem is the computer doesn't boot up anymore. Just gives the msg quoted
below on a DOS type screen.

Hi. I am having the same issue... did you ever get yours resolved, and if so,
how? thanks, Micky
