Download problems

I cannot download off of the internet. Example would be I purchased Pop-up Stopper Pro from Panicware but when I click on download I get a blank white explorer screen and it say's done but nothing has been downloaded. The same is ture when trying to download updates from Microsoft. I have even tried putting all the internet setting to their lowest with no results. Anyone have a clue on this

Can you download if you disable PanicWare?

If yes, then look on their Web site for some clues.
You may be able to change some of the settings, I do not use it so cannot
help any further.

No even with panicware disabled nothing. Thanks much for the response Henri, I do appreciate it.
Any other Ideas out there?
