download problem

I downloaded 36.1MB of updates from windows for my Dell
with windows XP. It will not install. It hangs up with
36.1MB transferred (of a total of 36.1), but says that it
needs 6 more minutes to finish. It never finishes and
therfore never installs.

RJ, do not download that amount at one time cut it into 2-
3 updates and then install, then reboot each time.
Another thing do not install any driver updates untill
all other updates are finished.Make them last. and one
other do not install SP1 untill all other critical
updatessection is finished. You should be fine. Its like
drinking cant mix.
