A firewall will stop this worm as well as many others.

ActuallyI'm looking for a removal tool...
It's for my daughters computer.
She does not have a firewall,Today I told her to install Spybot,and Adaware.
I just can't seem to find the microsoft patch for mydoom .F.
Any further help would be appreciated,thanks,

If your daughter does not firewall her computer there is no use in even
trying to remove the MyDoom virus. She will be reinfected immediately upon
going onto the internet - again!

I told her to download the free version of Zone Alarm.
Do you think that's enough?

I have used Zone Alarm 4 for quite some time now with no
troubles. I use the free one. I have heard though that
the new version, Zone Alarm 5 has been having troubles so
I would stick to #4. Just my opinion here.
