Download Manager recommendation

Could somebody recommend a free Download manager ,with possible integration
with Firefox 1.0.3.I am using XP-SP1.
Experience with regards the diff ones available ,and would there be any
significant increase in d/l speed ( I'm on dial-up)

Net Transport 1.87 is great, better than GetRight, which I paid for.

integration with Firefox 1.0.3.I am using XP-SP1.

Use the Flashgot Firefox extension.

I don't use this program (currently I'm lucky to have a fast connection)

recommends Wellget and provides a download link for it. Don't know how
well it integrates with FF or even if it does, just happened to notice
it in passing.

error messages about requiring certain dlls, etc.
``ws2_32.dll requires later version of windows
``wd2help.dll not found''
``missing export from - -

At the third fix I gave up. I wish programs would list the set of
dill and other helper files, with versions as part of the
requirements so one did not have to go through this kind of
thing, to get an application working on the particular combinations
of win 9x files one has available.
