Download manager for MyIE2

Any downloader that will integrate with IE will work with My IE2. You just have to use it with IE, make sure that it integrates properly, configure My IE2 to enable IE plugin support, check the downloader in My IE2>>My IE2 Options>>IE plugins. I've used several but currently use Net Transport. http://lycos26486.l78.lycos.com.cn/default.htm

I will try it, and hope it works.

As expected, it (doesn't) work like others...it doesn't handle zip links in
MyIE2 like it does in IE

And it's too similar to Flashget ;-)

Bye, Fede.

You're welcome. Glad that you got everything worked out. I was beginning to wonder what you were doing wrong as I've had no problems getting any downloader to work. Configuration and usage steps seems to be the difference. Now that you know the sequence, you should be able to use any downloader that you want. Good luck.

What was your secret? I'm used to using FreshUI download .... but it won't
pick up, even when I selected it to be the default download program.

First of all, I use Flashget which sadly isn't freeware...
Well, try to enable, in MyIE2 Options, IE plugin support in Advanced tab.
Then restart MyIE2 and, in MyIE2 options->Advanced->IE Plugins, among
others, there should be something like "IeCatch2 class - BHO type" option. I
select it, and now Flashget handle zip files like it does in IE.
There's also a little "tutorial" about FlashGet & MyIE2 in MyIE2 forum:

et
Maybe it could also be useful for some other download managers...

By the way, the IeCatch2 class - BHO type option appeared only when I
installed and disinstalled Net Trasport...that's strange, but interesting.

Bye, Fede.
