download IE6 ??

Hi,

is there anywhere I can download IE 6 ? I have looked on the microsoft.com
site and there are only updates and add-ons.
The reason i am wanting to download IE is that i may have deleted a registry
entry by accident.
so if i am able to download IE6,should i simply uninstall IE from the
add/remove programs in the control panel and install the downloaded version
?? is that the best way to do it or install it without uninstalling the
existing one ? does it matter ??
