Download File for XP Home Edition SP2

My home PC has dialup, so the SP2 upgrade will take far
too long. I have access to high-speed on a W2K machine.
Where can I go to download the XP Home Edition SP2 file,
so I can transfer it to the home machine and install? I
can't use the Windows Upgrade site, because it looks at my
W2K machine and only lists W2K fixes.

Is the 75Meg file for Home Edition available anywhere, or
only the 266 Meg file for all versions?

Hi

75 MBs may apply via Windows Update. The download there can vary -
dependent on what is already installed - between about 80 MBs and 120 MBs.
The downloadable SP2 file includes all Updates.

Jim,

Don't know where you are, but if there is a Staples near you, I understand
that they have the CDs for the asking. I've been told that they are NOT out
on the counter, but you do have to ask for them. Otherwise, I'm also told
that they are on some magazine covers (free with the magazine) or you can
order it for FREE from MS.

These are other options if you don't want to (or can't) tie your phone line
up for many hours to do a DL.
