Download failure

In Internet Explorer whenever I try to open or download a PDF I get a "IE must close" message. What have or haven't I done?

reinstall acrobat reader, and make sure it's the latest version (7).

Many thanks to Techy and MalcolmW. I have reinstalled Acrobat 7 and it works!
