Download error message

I’m trying to load my TaxCut 2007 from a CD and it will not ‘setupâ€. I
receive the following error message and no matter what I try, I have not been
successful.

Application Error: Exception Exception in module tcauto.exe at 0017DE3F.
Error creating object. Please verify that the Microsoft Data Access
Components 2.1 (or later) have been properly installed.

As far as I can tell, I have Microsoft Data Access Components loaded on my
computer. The CD works fine on my daughters’ computer, but my computer has
past years TaxCut info on it.

Try copying the cd on your daughters computer and then see if the copy works
in yours.

Unfortunately your suggestion didn’t work because the files are “read onlyâ€
and they will not copy to any media. The program will load to my daughters’
computer, but then I’m back to square one for trying to load to my computer
where my previous years files are located. Is there a file missing, or
something not turned on my Windows XP Pro that will not allow the tcauto.exe
file to load on my computer? Does anyone know of a software program that
checks your computer for missing files and recommends fixes?
