Download emails form Yahoo account

Ray

I successfully set up in Outlook 2002 to download emails from Yahoo account.
In Yahoo account, I configure spam mails to be moved to Bulk folder. Can
someone tell me how to stop downloading mails in Bulk folder, just from
Inbox folder.

Thanks,

Ray

Set the items in Bulk to be deleted immediately. For more info, see
Yahoo's help.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Rob,

Thanks for your advice. I checked Yahoo's help but could not find the way
to delete items in Bulk immediately. Is there any trick to do so?

Ray,

Click on the MAIL OPTIONS link at the top right of your screen, then click
SPAM PROTECTION, then IMMEDIATELY DELETE MESSAGES UPON RECEIPT. It's under
the SpamGuard settings.

Ahmed,

I could not find your option - it should be no option at all under the
spanguard. Only this statement "Yahoo! Mail will deliver spam to your Bulk
mail folder and delete the messages after 30 days. However, since these
messages count toward your storage limit, you may want to empty your Bulk
folder more often.". Strange!!

Well, the best to contact Yahoo for help on navigation, if required.
Also, read their "help" files as I am sure it will explain this.

Meantime ...

1. log into mail.yahoo.com
2. click on "mail options"
3. click on "spam protection"
4. in section on "spam filter" is this setting.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Ray,

Hmm. That certainly sounds strange. Bulk Mail no longer counts towards your
storage limit. This is beginning to look like a quirk on Yahoo's side. I
mean, it's as if your account is out of date. You might want to take it up
with Yahoo!.

Wish I could have been more help.
