Download Disappears When Using IE6

W hen I attempt to download a program with IE6 I can watch the progress bar
and when the DL is complete the program disappears. However when I use
Firefox for the DL everything works ok.
 
That's because someone at one time checked "close this window when done".

No NOT the download page. The file that's being downloaded disappears. No
where to be found.
