Downgrading from IE7 to IE6

How do I downgrade from IE7 to IE6? IBM tells me that ThinkVantage
System Update is incompatible with IE7, and to downgrade to IE6. They
didn't say how, though.

Open Control Panel, then "Add and Remove Programs", put a check in the
checkbox at the top for "show updates, and apply. IE 7 will show as an update
you can uninstall.

Hi Mark,

On my XP Pro noticed that the IE7 entry in add remove programs is showing,
without having to check the show updates box, is there a difference between
XP OS's..?
Would the updates for IE7 be removed/uninstalled as well or would they need
to be done seperately..?
Just wondering, I like the new IE7 and won't be removing it anytime in the
future..

Actually, since updating to IE7 and MP11, need to redo my slipstreamed (SP2)
disk created last year, have my original ISO..
At some point, anyway..
Cheers

I don't see IE 7. I do see "Windows Internet Explorer 7 - Software
Updates," and then two Security Updates listed. When I went to remove
the most recent updates, it complained that a number of XP updates and
Symantec web tools may no longer function. If I remove the two security
updates, will I be able to remove IE7? Will any XP updates experience
issues, or where those updates directly IE7 related? Thanks.

Going to try method 2 from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927177/en-us.
