downgrade to SP 3

We are trying to install the Kodak software for their
digital camera. It won't install. Kodak tells us that we
must downgrade from SP 4 to SP 3.
Can someone please tell us in detail how to do that?
Also, what vulnerability to intrusion is added by this
downgrade?
If the program installs successfully can we restore SP 4?
Thanks for any help you can give us.

The only way to restore sp3 is to uninstall sp4 and you would have had to
accept the save untistall information when you installed sp4. If you did
not save the uninstall information there is no way to revert back to sp3
without a format and reinstall of Windows 2000.

If the Kodak program that you are using is not compatible with sp4 then you
cannot upgrade with it installed and have it run. I would contact Kodak and
see if they have a version of the camera software that is compatible with
sp4.

There are several security fixes and system enhancements that are installed
with sp4 and the patches that have been released post sp4. I would
recommend if at all possible to run Windows 2000 with sp4 and all of the
post sp4 patches.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks,
