downgrade from xp

my friend put xp on an hp that cannot support the system
at all. we cannot get rid of it. we cannot get to dos or
reformat or load a different system. what can we do?

What a waste,You need another computer,take out your

hard drive,set the jumper to slave,put it in as slave on
another computer,go to my computer look for the drive
then right click on it and choose format,then put it back
in and load your old system on it.Read you system req.
