downgrade from XP pro to XP home

You could only do this by formatting the partition and starting over. Why
would you want to this? Even if you have no use for the additional security
features in XP Pro, aside from those features the two are identical.
 
Can you downgrade from xp pro to xp home? If so, how?

No.

Are you aware that there is nothing in Home that is not also in
Professional? There's really no reason to do this. Even if you
don't need the extra features in Professioanl, having them
doesn't hurt you in any way.
 
My client installed xp pro, and now wants to buy a
license. The difference in price is significant for him
so I thought I would find out.
