double space in outgoing messages

Since going to Outlook 2003 from the previous version, I don't seem to be
able to get my outgoing messages in a single line space format. My default
somehow has been setup for double space, even my signature block appears in
double space. I use Word 2003 for my default message editor and when I
select single space, my text still remains in double space.

Are you using a built-in template? A lot of these are double-line spacing.

Where do I look to see if I am using a built-in Template?

Tools - Options - Mail Format. Under the 'Stationery and Fonts' heading,
ensure it is set to 'None'.

It may also be worth checking that 'use Word to edit e-mail messages' at the
top of this dialog is also ticked.
