Double Pane Windows Explorer

I have always used the classic view of Windows Explorer and set XP up to
open all folders to double-pane style. I recently installed ACDSee and found
that my folders got screwed up. When I click on a File Folder, it opens up
only to single pane. Also, after I have the double-pane back, when I click
on a File Folder in the right pane, opens to a new window - with only one
pane. The only folders that will open to double pane are my desktop folders
of My Documents, My Computer and My Network.

I have uninstalled ACDSee, I have checked the Folder Options, I have checked
both Kelly's Corner and Doug Knox's sites for a fix but no success yet. Any
ideas?

I found the following old post that solved my problem:

Please try the following steps:

1. Click Start and Run, type regedit in the Open box and click OK.

2. Locate the Default value under the following key in the registry:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell.

2. Double click the (Default) name, type NONE in the Edit String box, and
then click OK.

3. Exit the registry editor.

For the next time, this works as well and is quicker:

Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 /i shell32
