Double OS

PLEASE HELP! I guess I got a virus, and windows wouldn't even boot up-I got
help far enough to get past the black windows xp welcome screen, but after
that, the blue screen flashes and the computer reboots automatically. I was
hoping I could somehow selectively repair my harddrive so I wouldn't have to
lose everything.... A friend of mine installed a parallel windows XP Pro so I
could go online, try to search for files, but this hasn't really helped much
at all... PLEASE, I desperately need to able to access all my old files and
programs...

Hi,

Did you check whether you have a boot virus. This prevents the computer from
loading the OS and installing another OS will not help you. So use the
bootable antivirus CD that you have and then boot up with the cD to search
for virus in the boot sector. Once this is cleaned you will be able to boot
normally.
