double monitor with different dpi - value ?

Hello,

I'd like to use an external tft-monitor(1600 pix width)
with my notebook (1920 dpi width). My problem is that in
default mode (96 dpi) objects on the notebook-screen are
quite small. Changing this setting to 120 dpi works fine
for the notebook-screen but is far to large for the monitor
(child-book-feeling).

Can anybody give me a hint, wheter or not there is a
possibility to set one dpi - value per screen?
