Double log On

Just got Windows Messenger to open, but somehow I ended up
with an icon that shows me connected, but when the cusor
is placed on it the message "Not sign In" appears

When I open to sign in there are two sign in items. One
to "sign in" and another to sign in as Wallacen5@comcast"

I can sign in with one, but the other comes back with the
same unable to connect message, and the IMis totaly messed
up and causes my PC to be eratic.

Can you bail me out of this?
 
Just got the Blue Screen of Death from the IM with this
double log on. Should I just give up on IM and reset XP to
a few days ago, Or is it fixable?
