Double install

I recently installed windows XP over windows XP and now I have problems. The first is that each time I turn on the computer I am asked to register. In addition everything seems not to be working as well. What can I do?
 
Register - mark the appropriate setting to tell it no.
Activate - do it
Not running well is a very broad statement
