Double Click Problem

This problem has just started today. When I double click on a folder to open
it, the search window comes up instead. I have no idea why this is happening
so I would be very grateful if someone could help as it's really annoying.

If you are double clicking on a folder and search companion or a command
prompt window opens up, then you can fix this by typing the following in
the Run box:

REGSVR32 /i SHELL32.DLL
