Double Click doesn't work

Please help. My double click doesn't work for Any of my
programs and most of my desk top items. I need to open
my start menu and right click and then go to "open" in
order to access any programs on my pc. VERY
INCONVENIENT. Is there anyone who can help me?

you may wanna check out yer mouse properties from the
control panel, it may have been somehow set to default and
need to personlize the buttons...

Your double click setting in your computer may be set to
high to check go to:

1. Start
2. Control Panel (Classic Menu Settings, then Control
Panel)
3. Open the "Printers And Other Hardware" applet
3a. In Classic view open the Mouse Applet
4. Set your "Double Click Speed" to a level you are
comfortable with.
5. Click Apply
6. Click Ok

You should now be able to double click icons.

If above does not help:

1. Aquire a new mouse
2. Shut off your computer
3. Unplug your old mouse
4. Plug in new mouse
5. Power on computer
6. Try double clicking a desktop Icon
