Double booking on a calendar because the appointments are tentativ

When working in Outlook 2003 on Exchange Server 2003 tentative appointments
do not appear on my Calendar when other people view my Calendar. This
creates conflicts when other people send me appointments for the same time
thinking that my time is free but is not.

Is it possible for tentative appointments to appear on my Calendar so people
don't try to double book me?

Cheers,
John

Are you running Outlook at the time that they send you these appointment requests?

What build of Outlook 2003 (check Help | About)? Do you have Outlook set up to automatically accept meeting requests? That's the setting that makes it possible for Outlook to put an appointment on your calendar tentatively.
