Neither VS.NET 2003 can use .NET Framework 1.1 nor VS 2005 can use .NET
Framework 2.0. Each IDE requires a specific .NET Framework version.

It works fine. However, Visual Studio.Net 2003 will not work with it.
..Net is structured so as to enable multiple versions of the Framework
installed on the same OS. Every .Net application uses the version of the
Framework that it was designed to work with.
