Dosx will not load high

Have an XP Pro install on dell precision 620 that will
not load dosx in high memory area as instructed in
autoexec.nt. Any ideas why? Have several XP loads on
others and dosx loads in high memory in all of them. I
have tried all combinations of loading entries into
memory and nothing will force Dosx to load high on this
computer. Thanks in advance for your help!

Some motherboards has extra rom memory areas used in bios. Before dos can be
loaded at high memory addresses there must be enough high memory areas
available. Also some extension cards have their own bios, which is mapped to
that same high memory area. There is no general solution if either is true.
At worst case your only option might be to buy a new computer. You could
check your bios settings if there is way to release some memory areas.
