Dose not boot

When I start my comp, my hard drive will not boot unless
the xp cd is in the cd drive. Now i just reinstalled it,
this has not occured before. I changed my boot orders and
everything, im stuck. can anyone help?

Have you been inside your computer? If not this may not
help, but if by chance your hdd and cdrom are on the same
cable and the hdd is not set as master the computer may
not boot the hdd if the boot order isn't set to boot
other devices or other hdd. Make sure your hdd is set as
master (or single if it is the only device on its cable)
and that it is on the primary controller.
